Alcohol content: 14.5%
Drinking temperature: 18-20 degrees
Shelf Life: At least 15-20 years after harvest, still a revelation.

This is the velvet child from the family of Amethystos. The purple, sparkling wine is made largely from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes with very limited yields, but also from Merlot and the Greek grape variety Agiorgitiko.
A sophisticated wine with a complex and nuanced aroma, which is further intensified by the almost one year maturation period in 225 liter oak barrels (barriques). 30% new and old French wooden barrels are used.

Amethystos

The Amethystos wine family takes its name from the semi-precious stone Amethystos.

An old myth says that amethyst allows those who hold it tightly in their hand to drink alcohol without becoming drunk.
